Granny Torrelli Makes Soup is a wholesome kind of story that just feels good for the soul. The story is broken in two parts, each taking place in the kitchen as Granny Torrelli and Rosie cook and talk together. Old stories, strong friendships, and new feelings bubble away and give rise to a rich and beautiful story.

I love Granny Torrelli, always making good things, always so calm, so patient, always telling me about my smart head.

What I like best about Rosie is that she doesn’t believe in insta-friendship. Despite her disagreements with Bailey, she works hard to root out the issue and make amends. And her adoration of Granny Torrelli is apparent and heartwarming. Rosie’s loyalty is the heart of the story, and carries a strong message of what true friendship looks like.
