Kristy Thomas is quick to pick up on a business opportunity, and the Baby-Sitters Club is born. Members Kristy, Claudia, Mary Anne, and Stacey tackle starting a business, forming new friendships, and pooling their resources. But Kristy’s determined to avoid one client in particular.
This is my first encounter with the Baby-Sitters Club series. I wasn’t sure what to expect, so I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed Kristy’s Great Idea. This first book is stuffed with funny flops, trouble with toddlers, persnickety pets, and enough insider info to get any reader excited to start a Baby-Sitters Club of their own. There’s no question why The Baby Sitters Club was (and is) such a popular series.
I love to see books about kids who go into business! Upon reading the graphic novelization, I’m curious to check out the original books by Ann M. Martin.
