Guest Blog – Essential Reminders for Starting a Writing Career

Show & Tell

Everyone has a story to tell. Maybe your mind has been craving to tell that story since you were a kid. Or perhaps, you’ve been writing on the sly for years, and feel ready to claim this as something you’re meant to do. Turning your passion for writing into a real career may seem like a pipedream. But, while the road may not be smooth, it is attainable.

So, where do you start?

Working 9-5: Why I’m Live-Tweeting my Wednesdays

A Day in the Life

Have you been wondering how a graphic designer like me spends their day? Are you tired of working from home all alone? Did you ever think a regular workday would be exciting?

I invite you to join me for A Day in the Life of a Graphic Designer. I’ll be sharing my workday with you via Twitter tomorrow (August 12) in a “productivity crawl” from 9am to 5pm (PST).

You don’t have to be a graphic designer to participate, but you will get a glimpse of my workspace, pick up a few tips and tricks on productivity, and hopefully get some much-needed social out of social media. Use this time to get stuff done in your own way.

Being a guest on the Phoenix Fiction Writers podcast was a whole new experience, but branding is a topic I’m always happy to talk at length about. I hope you’ll give it a listen!

Establishing Your Visual Brand

I had the opportunity to write a guest blog post for Phoenix Fiction Writers. I don’t get to nerd out about graphic design very often, so I really cut loose and had fun with a topic that combines two of my passions: writing and good design!
